Symphony of Autumn Presented by Master Sogetsu Teacher Arai Eien, from Tokyo, Japan

A wonderful demonstration of sculptural arrangements, using Bamboo, curly willow, and pussywillow. Followed by a great buffet lunch and workshop focusing on curly willow and bamboo, ( including splitting the bamboo).

Harvest Basket Arrangements, Presented by Jerry McManus, Charlene Nixon, and George Trauth Slide show, Workshop, and Ginza

A slide presentation of beautiful basket arrangements with ideas and commentary by our presenters. Participants need to bring their favorite basket and fall materials to arrange their own Harvest Basket Arrangement. A Ginza of items of sale will be available during the program.

East Meets West Presented by Sharman Palmer From Weatherford, TX.

Sharman will complete a large tablescape for Thanksgiving and Christmas with an Ikebana slant. A raffle for a portion of the two arrangements will be held at the end of the program. There will be a potluck luncheon immediately following the presentation.

Creating arrangements combining flowers with nonconventional materials Presented by Mina Kelly, Sogetsu School

This presentation will use unusual, recyclable, crazy items in Ikebana arrangements. It is sure to be a creative, fun day. Participants are asked to think outside the box and bring the craziest materials they can find to create their own arrangement.

Harmonizing container and arrangement Presented by Ginny Marsh, Studio potter from Rockwall, TX

This presentation will show the relationship of the container to the Ikebana arrangement. Ginny will gladly discuss custom orders of containers. Please bring a sketch or photograph of a container you would like her to make for you. She will also bring some of her containers that will be for sale during this event.
